Blueprint original content 001: Strap Shackles Beta 1.  Print on 11 x 17" (ANSI B4) card stock, check scale against a ruler (gray box). 

Descriptions:

1. Ankle Shackle
14.5" Long x 1.75" wide x 6-8 oz (3mm thick nominal)
 0.5" holes, 7/8" from long edge (centerline), 1" from end.

2. Wrist Shackle
 10.5" Long x 1.75" wide x 6-8 oz (3mm thick nominal)
0.5" holes, 7/8" from long edge (centerline), 1" from end.

3. Neck Shackle - 2 part template, 
21.5" Long x 1.75" wide x 6-8 oz (3mm thick nominal)
0.5" holes, 7/8" from long edge (centerline), 1" from end.


Bill of materials:


• Strap, Bridle, 1.75" Wide, 8-10 oz (approx. 3mm thick), 72" long

• Screw-Pin Shackle, 1/2" opening, 1/4" pin dia. 316 Stainless Steel, 5 ea.

Consumables:


• Edge Coat to match strap material

• water / wax / tragacanth gum for burnishing

• saddle soap, rag, brush, sponge


Tools:

• Sharp cutting Blade

• Cutting Mat
• 
1/2" hollow punch
• 
Mallet

• Wood Slicker / Burnishing Tool

• Edge Beveler

• Dauber or brush


Assembly: 


Cut/punch, bevel and slick / burnish and coat all edges. 
Pass screw pin through both holes of the shackle as shown.
